The recall began on May 18, 2016. I love my 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe and am very sure I made the right choice while purchasing my first vehicle. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. The 1st time serra Chevrolet fixed at no cost to me. It is full of comfort for long travels. We were stuck for two hours on the side of a mountain until we could get a tow truck.
Then on the 1st year it was idling loud and hard seemed to be making a lot of effort also a squeaking noise. These repairs will be performed free of charge. Additionally, it has a hatch and doesn't use oil. It is making a bad sound that we were told all the struts might need replaced, there is currently a driver assist message for the driver seat that I can't afford to fix and there is a recall for the electric steering. I have four kids who all fit very comfortably inside and feel safe on the road while riding.
This is a permanent fixture in this car. Power seats will not adjust. We live an active life camping and road trips in the summer and the mountain to snowboard in winter. If the transfer case switches to neutral while the vehicle is being driven, the vehicle would lose drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. As for the value, I certainly do believe it is overpriced as all the vehicles we looked at are.
Is there a recall or will Chevy acknowledge this model is a lemon? It is a great car for a family with young children as it has lots of room for kids and all the stuff they need. Next thing I noticed is that the check engine came on so I pulled off the freeway. The dealer stated that the part was unavailable and did not know when it would arrive. The recall began October 3, 2018. She ran a remote diagnostic and nothing is wrong. On the affected vehicles, the brake pedal pivot nut may loosen, causing the brake pedal to be loose or inoperative. Currently waiting to get my vehicle back to see how it drive. The Chevrolet Tahoe is an awesome and reliable vehicle for bigger families.
The Tahoe has performed very well. The only bad thing I could say is they dont offer in house financing. They replace the radio with the display and it worked for about a month before it lost. Breakes gone out flat pedal on the floor No stopping :o!!! The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and indicated that there was no warranty or recall, and suggested that the dealer repair the vehicle. The recall began on October 13, 2016. Called OnStar to see if this ever happened. These repairs will be performed free of charge. Cadillac owners may call 1-866-982-2339. It also has the anti skid control. I would like to be able to go get it corrected at no cost to me. The recall is expected to begin on April 28, 2014. But now fast forward one week having very low coolant and clicking noise rattling loud engine. I would highly recommend a Chevy Tahoe to anyone. Also the power windows were not working and I reached out and was told they would speak to the manager and call me back only to never receive a call back. It feels safe as it sits so high and is so heavy.
